The real truth about protein shakes

I hope you’re having an awesome week so far. Before we go into the truth about protein shakes, I want to share some recipes that have been on repeat the last couple of weeks.

We’ve finally settled into the new place, and are mostly (but definitely not completely), unpacked. The kids also started their new schools last week and mostly so far, so good.

But the evenings are still pretty tough with everyone adjusting to new timetables, hobbies etc, not to mention the wallpaper stripping, painting and redecorating that’s going on around here!

So I’ve been looking for the very quickest recipes I could find to let us crack on with everything else that needs to be done.

We’ve been eating these plenty over the last couple of weeks, and I hope you enjoy them as much we have!

First up - Falafel and Fake-Tahini Sauce. The recipe calls for fresh carrots and falafel mix but recently we’ve been skipping the shredded carrot (though frozen pre-shredded would work) and buying pre-made falafel as it’s a great time-saver.

The whole recipe takes about 10-15 mins from start to finish, and it’s great with wraps, pitas or just on its own!

This Tortilla Quiche is also really easy to prep and then just sits in the oven for half an hour or so. You can throw in whatever leftover veggies you have as well!

The kids have always loved these pancakes and I let them go wild with their own toppings, secretly pleased they’re chowing down on eggs and bananas 😄 - it’s also our most successful recipe of all time!
