Are you feeling the sun? We are! After swimming in the cold, jellyfish infested waters last weekend, we’re back to normality (20°C) but it’s still pretty nice.

In Germany, there is an incredibly popular recipe called ‘Hawaii Toast’. It’s simple, and usually has meat on it. It was popularised by a TV show back in the 50s.

My lovely German wife, Kat, made it for me many, many years ago (even before we were veggie) and I’ve always enjoyed it.

But how to make it vegetarian and still high in protein? We found the answer!
