Start at the Beginning

Hey healthy veggie,
I hope you had an awesome weekend and a great start to the week.
When I first became vegetarian (well over 10 years ago now), aside from getting a load of flak from most male friends, I had to completely rethink my entire recipe arsenal.
My first meals were basically the same but without the meat, which sucked. They were also dangerously low in protein (which I didn’t understand at the time).
As the years went by and being veggie became more ‘mainstream’ I even managed to convince my most ardent opponent to see the enjoyable side of vegetarianism (my metal mate Mark) - on the way to an Iron Maiden concert in Berlin with these wraps.

We saw them at Bremen, too. Always a great crowd.
It also made me realise that transitioning over to meatless food is not always as easy as you’d think, especially if you’re lacking recipe ideas.
I found the best way was never to make the same meals without the meat, but to find awesome, tasty ways to replace the meat instead.
Here are some of my fave ‘classics’ that everyone loves but have no meat anywhere near them!
