Why is this new 'diet' going viral?

And what does it mean for vegetarians?

Hey there healthy veggie!

I hope you’ve had an awesome week so far!

We’re fully moved in to our new pad and although it still feels like we’re surrounded by boxes, we at least have a functioning kitchen and work room 😅 👨🏻‍🍳 💻

Over the recent months, there’s something I’ve been keeping an eye on (and no, it wasn’t the build up to the Olympics 🥇) - it’s the so-called 30-30-30 diet.

But don’t call it a diet

As you know, I’m not a fan of ‘dieting’ in almost any sense of the word.

I’d much rather eat with a little sense and thought, and stick to tasty, high-protein recipes.

And that’s why the 30-30-30 caught my eye

It’s started to get rave weight loss reviews and a hardened following - so I wanted to see what all the fuss is about.

In a nutshell, the diet goes like this - eat 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up, followed by 30 minutes of exercise.

Those are definitely things I can agree with, and on the surface, sound great.

But is it safe, and is it suitable for vegetarians?

I convinced James, our Master’s certified Nutritionist, to dive into the science and see if this really is a viable way to lose weight safely.

He went into more detail than I could have imagined and even proposed a new and more accurate name for this method of weight loss in his article about it.

If our version (a far more scientifically developed 30-30-30 goes viral as well, I’ll do my best to get James the credit he deserves!

He also went one step further and made a podcast about it too, so if you prefer listening to reading then the links are below 👇🏽

What kind of recipes can be eaten on the 30-30-30 diet?

Here are some good examples of the recipes:

Breakfast:

Lunch:

Dinner:

More examples are available here. Also, please don’t forget to spread the love and share this email if you found it useful!

Alright you guys, that’s it for today 🫶🏼

Have an awesome week and I’ll be back soon with more recipes (and some more exciting updates!).
