In full swing

Hey healthy veggie,

I hope 2025 has started as you’d like it to go on!

I know how difficult it can be to get started with healthy habits - we have grand plans but we get derailed as soon as something slightly out of the ordinary comes up.

I think one of the problems is trying to do too many things, too soon.

So I started 2025 with just two simple habits planned out.

The first is to eat a minimum of 2 high protein meals every single day. That’s easy, especially with a meal plan and shopping list.

The second is doing 5 minutes of exercise every day. That’s right, just 5 minutes!

Seems like a crazy-low number? That’s because it is!

The reason I choose five minutes is that I can ALWAYS fit it in. And to be honest, once I’ve started with exercising, I don’t stop after 5 minutes. And suddenly I’ve done a workout I’m proud of. I highly recommend this approach.

If you don’t know how to get started, James (our Master’s Certified Sport Nutritionist) designed a beginners guide to exercise that’s included in the Vegetarian Protein Fix.

Ok, so that’s the exercise sorted. On to the recipes.

Let’s make these super practical.

Walk, don’t run

I had really been struggling to get enough steps in early this year, so I decided to focus on the protein meals and the exercise.

Now that those have become a proper habit, I’ve added in a third - walking.

I decided it would work if I set a time and date with a friend, so just this evening we met at 5pm and got out for a good walk, and I feel great.

One step at a time, and let the habits stack on top of each other.

We’ve already set another date for next week and I’m looking forward to it.

But I’m looking forward to dinner even more now - my tummy is rumbling as I write this! I cooked extra rice yesterday just to make this 🤗:

Ok, that’s it for this week! Enjoy the weekend and whatever recipes you make.
