In full swing

I hope you’ve had an awesome weekend!

We finally made our way to some Christmas markets, in and around our new small town. I also popped back into Hamburg to one of the bigger ones – they’re fun as always, though they feel weirdly busy after being out in the sticks!

They’ve also become very expensive. Food and drink prices in Europe have risen massively over the last few years (and I’m sure we’re not alone).

So this week’s email is about making fave Christmas foods (and drink) a bit cheaper.

Kat’s favourite food at market is always the creamy garlic mushrooms. She created this recipe as a tribute, though everyone says this version is far better. I wouldn’t know, I don’t touch mushrooms 🍄‍🟫😅

Obviously at Christmas, it’s hard to say no to mulled wine (or Glühwein as it’s called here). Our version is far cheaper, has less sugar and tastes much better (in my humble opinion) 🎄

Crepes and pancakes are always popular, too, and Christmas weekends are perfect for gingerbread pancakes. The taste just fits 🤗

And finally, the baked apples. Who can resist? 🤷🏼‍♂️
